I like to completely immerse myself in a new subject, learn everything I can about it, then get bored with it. Today, my subject is how to buy a vacation home and make it pay for itself by renting it out.

South African soaps. I like them more than American ones. My favorite is Egoli, but I sometimes get into Binnelanders. I hear 7 De Laan is good, too, but I can't find webcasts of it.

To be a veterinarian until I read all James Herriot's All Creatures Great and Small series of books. Loved the stories, hated the whole inserting-my-arm-inside-a-cow-while-face-down-in-manure bit.

People won't stand still long enough for me to tell them everything I know and think.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I read whatever is at hand. I watch Food Network and Discovery because I like to learn. I listen to '80s music because my musical tastes pretty much stopped evolving in high school.
