I decided not to wait until I had already "arrived", but instead to share my ongoing creative progress with the world.

"Art is a journey, not a destination"

So welcome to the real me: at home in my skin, even if not always so at home in the physical, mundane realm.

I am a diarist and write prolifically, everyday. There are over 60 large, handwritten volumes of daily journals in my archives, kept over the last 20 + years, and over 200 original poems that I've written since I became a poetess, on Martin Luther King Day, January 21, 2002. I write lyrics & melodies for children's rhymes, as well as psalms of praise to the creator.

I enjoy and practice many various forms of art and recently finished four years of part time study at a local community college, studying the Western dance forms: Jazz, Modern & Ballet. That done, I am now busy dancing my heart out, at home and on youtube, fusing these newly learned movements with my Folk, Belly Dance & West African reperatoire, thereby creating my own, original style of dance which I look toward performing at private & public venues beginning later this year/2007.

How Dancing Saved My Life And Made Me Beautiful Forward I've written hundreds of pages in my journal this summer. Here are some excerpts from my primary journal, in addition to specially written entries just for dance class. Look at that!it would appear I am a writer and a dancer! Whatayaknow? I guess it's not all that surprising and unusual for a person to be inspired toward more than one artistic bent? Especially if that person has been lucky enough in this life, not only to fall in love with themselves, inspiring their own heart form within, but too, to love the art forms they practice ...
