Hello, my name is Sharon. I'm the single mom of three girls. I'm an Art Education major at Coker College, which is located in Hartsville, S.C. I have accomplished more than I ever dreamed possible in the past year. I won the honor of having my first scholarship essay published in the book, Voice of the Future, by Elder&Leemaur Publishing Company. I earned a GPA of 4.0 last year. Returning to college at the age of thirty-two, ten years down the road, was the best decision I ever made. I was afraid, excited, and determined all at the same time. To my amazement, I made the National Dean's List, The Coker College Dean's list, and had the honor of being one of the "Top Ten" in my class. All of
the hard work paid off. I am looking forward to this experience. May you find all that you seek. Peace be with you.
You will find many of my articles in the poetry section.

I wasn't truly swept away into the many passions of poetry until I was introduced to John Keats in my English 102 class. I invite you to read some of my poetry and please let me know your thoughts on my poems.

My favorite memory ...
is when I discovered the magic of words.
Why I write ...
to entertain, to inform, to discover, to create, and to change the world.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
i am reading Angels An Endangered Species by Malcolm Godwin,
My inspiration ...
John Keats, Stevie Nicks, and Lord Byron are at the top of my list.
THE WIND AS IT WHISPERED One wish, one night One desire, to sleep by the side Of the one whose name she knew Strange emotion, magic night a tale not of love but obscession Destiny's revenge on innocence The wind as it whispered Held no objections Her pure heart Could not perceive the danger and deception in the web being weaved And so she sings Through fire and through rain No one asked me, I just came Blinded by a light so strong I knew I'd get to you, right or wrong Through the darkness, through the light Nothing could keep me away in the night Through passion and into the flame I could ...
