After graduating from college with a Biology degree and a minor in music, I moved out of the country for perspective. Returning from two years of living and traveling in Indonesia, I realized I wanted to write a book.
My question to the world: Can I make a living doing what I want to do? My current job training horses does little to supplement my husband's teaching salary. I hope to find a way to write and to learn about the writing process and the field in general. Writing and reading have always been two of my favorite activities. Will I be able to survive in the writing world?

So often, I hear people talking about their recent vacations, and every time, I am shocked. How is it possible that my good friend spent a week in Mexico and never left the all-inclusive resort? Why did my great uncle go all the way to the other side of the world, returning only to complain about how 'backwards' things are 'over there'? How could my friend possibly understand the culture in Russia after being there for only a week?
