About me

After graduating from college with a Biology degree and a minor in music, I moved out of the country for perspective. Returning from two years of living and traveling in Indonesia, I realized I wanted to write a book.

My question to the world: Can I make a living doing what I want to do? My current job training horses does little to supplement my husband's teaching salary. I hope to find a way to write and to learn about the writing process and the field in general. Writing and reading have always been two of my favorite activities. Will I be able to survive in the writing world?

I love to write. It's like laying down a burden, or emptying the heavy and overflowing pot of water you've been carrying.

I am re-reading my signed copy of A Wrinkle in Time. I can't believe that Madeleine L'Engle is gone from this world.

in High School I once finished first in a horse show then immediately competed in a flute competition, also doing well. I felt so proud of myself.
