: About Me

Hello! I am a 23 year old female, I am early in my years, but feel that the experiences in my life are ready to be shared with the masses. I discovered Helium and was absolutely thrilled to find a place where an aspiring writer, such as myself, can just dive right into writing.

I have been engaged to my wonderful fiance Derrick for nearly four years. This may sound like an odd situation to some, but we both have found that learning about one another, and building our life together, is more important than emptying our pocketbooks to have a rushed display of what should be a meaningful shared union. But I must say I do look forward to the day when we will say our vow's in front of those whom we cherish.

We recently lost one of our beloved kittens to a battle with urinary blockages. Our little Sasuke is doing well, but has been very lonely since his brother has passed.

We are both avid video game and technology fans. We have fun in our lives, and are both very realistic, logical, compassionate, and down to earth.

I enjoy reading, and writing of all kinds. I am originally from Wichita, KS and moved to Montrose, CO to be near my closest family, and to attend college. Through my first year of college I realized that while my compassionate nature and intellect were perfectly suited for a career in medicine, which has also been a great interest of mine, there was more out there that I wanted to experience in life.

Living in a small town there is very little opportunity, and being from a larger city it has dampened my ability to utilize all the resources of a growing and populated area.

Nevertheless, there has always been a drive within me to share my writing and ideas with a large number of people. I deeply believe that there is a writer in all of us, and that for me the need to share my knowledge and growth through my writing is what I was meant to do in my life.

Everyday I learn, everyday I grow, I believe and live daily the philosophy of never turning your back to an open door, and always thirsting for more knowledge and positive experience.

My first job was blessed upon me, I worked on the produce farm my family owned.

My best moment was when I graduated high school, and realized all of my accomplishment and potential in life.
