About me:
I have lived in the middle of Wyoming for the last 37 years and love it. Having grown up in Long Beach California I have always felt very lucky to be able to make my way in a small town where I can raise a garden, heat with wood and eat what I hunt and catch.
After three years in the Army and all that went with that in the late 60's, I went to college and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement from Brigham Young University.
I was a police oficer for 37 years and for whatever reason, never burned out for more then a few days at a stretch. I am now semi retired with more time on my hands then I would like to have and hopefully this will find me spending more time writing.
By way of family, we just celebrated our 39th wedding aniversery and have four sons, three grandsons and two brand new grandaughters. I am also active in my church.
While my writing career has always been informal I have written four plays which have been performed and currently have a local newspaper column and another column which runs on our local radio website. I have also had a number of articles and stories published in various magazines. So far I have made enough money off of my writing to live quite comfortably for about a day and a half - if I eat lightly!

Faithful In pleasant solitude I stroll the woods Where none has trod for awhile Towards cluttered forest clearing As the sun flirts with clouds On a grumbly summer day Ahead a home long empty Glassless windows, shattered doors I peer in at the dusty abode And think of laughter far faded Voices long stilled and silent But there, by splintered porch Amid browns and grays and faded greens A splash of crimson Life shining forth amid tangled thicket Just one, brave but alone A whirlpool of petals spiraling in on itself Planted in love and hope by hands long cold Now admired by no one, save it b...
