I am all about creativity. My mind is full of ideas that need to be put down on paper in either words or paint. Crafting an article is like crafting a good painting with bits and pieces, words and sentences coming together to form a layered complete picture.

My creativity has led me to be an artist and a writer in my spare time. I have been lucky enough to study art under a number of excellent artist. My paintings have been accepted in a number of shows in the Washington, DC area. I have not studied writing as intently but I have had my articles published in a couple of volunteer league monthly newsletters. When I was younger my essay was accepted into a national young writers compilation and my poems were in my college's annual literary collection.

I have moments that where a story comes to me and is lying there before me and I have wished that I had a place to capture it. I believe Helium will provide me with the outlet for my thoughts and ideas. To have an outlet for my writing as well as my painting will be a new found solace. To have work accepted in two of my favorite creative areas will be outstanding.

My mother was a weeder! She looked at crabgrass and every weed as her personal enemy. How dare a weed grow in her yard that was a personal affront! War it was!
