About me - Andrew Kemp

About me

I am too independent for my own good, I hate arbitrary restrictions on personal life, and believe governments should empower the people, not restrict them.

Since I was small I knew something was coming, and now it's starting, even though it is sometimes (always!) too slow. I have read too much about things like UFOs, spirituality and the potentials of science to be satisfied with the status-quo, because my vision is for people to be able to develop as THEY want; too often our lives are dictated simply by what jobs are available.

I am studying journalism outside of work, and developing a web-guide to my area of Sydney, because our local lives have been over-shadowed by the need to be an economic 'bit', and we have suffered a dis-connect with our local selves.

How ironic that globalisation should cause an awareness to shift back to local, but then again, if we are globalised, we can be as local and granular as we want!

This was not a phrase I expected from the intelligentsia, that core group of people who know. My interest was answered in a sort of meaning from this guy, that history is the product of interpretation, or should be. Today a friend called me a traitor while we were jibing each other on his tactics or lack thereof in Civilisation. Im...
