About me - Nicole Parris

About me

Hi, everyone my name is Nicole, and I love writing. English was always my favorite subject in high school until my school started a newspaper. I wrote for my school paper for three years, and my dream was to be a sports writer for the New York Times and go to every Knicks game. After I graduated and started my "post-secondary education", I somehow ended up in the medical field. I had been working as a dental assistant for the past year until I broke my ankle. Unemployed and unable to walk, I had to move back home with my parents. So for three months I've been trying to figure out what I was going to do, that's when I stumbled across you fine people. All this time I had been trying to figure out something I actually wanted to spend my life doing, cuz it sure wasn't scraping gunk off teeth. Fortunately I have the luxury of living rent-free while I get back in the habit of writing. Thanks for letting me share my ideas with all of you. I really appreciate any feed back and critiques. New York Times here I come!

With the 2008 Summer Olympics approaching they have attempted to change this image, but as recent events have shown old habits really do die hard.

The Chinese' most infamous doping scandal involved the entire swim team over a period of 15 years. They went from being virtual non contenders to winning 75% of all gold medals at the 1994 world championship games. This sudden explosion...
