About me

Well here goes:

I am what I would describe as a multicultural person having grown up in the US, lived in Africa and the US for a significant period of my life, and briefly lived in Europe and Asia. Living, working, playing, arguing, and then making up (sometimes not) with people from so many different countries, cultures and backgrounds taught me many things. The most important being to be able to better understand and develop empathy for others (which doesn't mean always having to agree with them but still being able to understand where they are coming from) and learn to view situations and events from different perspectives.

I love music, movies, travel, cooking and experimenting, crafts, sports, and the list goes on. My curiosity for knowledge is such that more than once, I've gone into a Barnes & Nobles in the morening to look for a certain book, and ended up coming back to earth when it was closing time and leaving after purchasing with more than I'd planned. Now with internet access I'm learning how to discipline my surfing sessions. ; - )

Soon I'll be setting up a site where French translations of my articles will be posted.

Note to people who may be wondering about my silence: my computer crashed after a power outage about 1 1/2 week ago and I'm working on finding a solution.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Travel, books, music, movies, cuisine, writing, crafts, etc.

I know too much about ...

Nothing; I often say that higher education merely taught me how little I know compared to all the knowledge that exists out there.

My parents always told me ...

To always tell the truth no matter what!

My childhood ambition ...

Opening up a bilingual school from k-12 in West Africa.

Why I write ...

In order to fight writer's block and turn it into a handicap of the distant past.

In addition to the above, if their position requires that they have some degree of contact with or exposure to the public, their personal behavior has even more chances of being noticed and judged by others and thus requires the need ...
