About me...hmmm...well, my name is Terry and I'm originally from Midland, Texas. It's one of those places where you almost have to be born there to love it...and I love it. When I was 16 years old, I was a passenger in a car accident in Midland and broke my neck, which damaged my spinal cord and left me to live life as a quadriplegic...that was 39 years ago. I met my husband, Lonnie, when I was 22 and he was 23 and we married a year and a half later. He was an electrician in Houston where I moved from Midland to try and finish some more college hours. We had a good run together, together for 33 years and married for 31, but I lost my sweet Lonnie only last year to a sudden and fatal heart attack while workng in his garden and I'm still missing him so much, but I'm dealing with it. So, I'm a widow now (I hate that wordalways have). We have 2 kids, Nathan who is 28, and Lindsey, who is 26. Both of them are married so I have a honey of a daughter-in-law, Danna, and a jewel of a son-in-law, Jared and they have blessed me with 3 beautiful grandchildren, Kyla, 4, Nathan Jr. just shy of 2, and Jordan, 1 1/2.
I've written an autobiography entitled What Happened When I Blinked?, indicating how quickly a life (in this case, mine) can change. If you'd like to learn more about my book, go here www.myspace.com/whathappenedwheniblinked (I'm having trouble creating a link, so until I figure it out, please copy and paste)
My articles, poetry and stories are written with care and detailing that comes straight from my heart. I am emotionally invested in every piece I write, be it a poem or a book review. I hope you enjoy reading them, because no matter the content or form, I took great pleasure in writing them. Thanks! Happy Trails!
Terry

John Mayer With lyrics that exude sincerity, usually with a bit of humor or nostalgia on the side, John Mayer is steadily becoming a habit that is hard to break. A soft spoken man with roots deeply planted in Connecticut, Mayer has an obvious bottomless affection for his music. Collectively a singer, songwriter and musician, his trademark mellow sound has a tendency to touch your heart while producing a lasting emotional mark, leaving fans desiring more of his addicting tunes...and John Mayer junkies are rarely, if ever, disappointed.
