My name is Courtney. I'm 23 and a stay at home mom of two energetic little boys. I live in a little town outside of Saint Louis, where I've lived all my life. About six months ago I re-enrolled in college and now I'm a full time college student pursuing a degree in paralegal studies. It's hard to balance, and it can get rather hectic, but I love my life.
I'm happiest at home, with my wonderful husband of almost 5 years and my babies, but I do enjoy getting out of the house every now and then. Ideally I'd love to travel the world, for now I settle for a Friday night movie or a trip to the grocery store.
In my free time I love to read and write(obviously), and eventually I'd like to turn it into a career. Until then, here I am, writing and rating on Helium.
My passion is ...
Writing of course, but that comes second to my family.
I know too much about ...
Sleepness nights with crying babies!
My parents always told me ...
Always work hard in life, you only get what you give.
My childhood ambition ...
To be some big wig lawyer, living in a high rise apartment in some huge city....I guess a paralegal is close enough.
My favorite memory ...
My wedding day and of course the births of my baby boys...The first time a marketplace publisher picked one of my articles!
Why I write ...
I've always loved to write, it keeps me busy and helps my brain stay sharp!
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Since I had my second son, there's no time for reading, but I'm a devoted Grey's Anatomy watcher.
My first job ...
I was a waitress at a burger joint, I didn't make any money but I loved that job.
My best moment ...
Sometime in the future....graduation day perhaps.
My inspiration ...
My sweet little babies. They inspire me to be greater than I am, to strive for excellence, and to live a good life.
Melissa cracked her bedroom window and lit a cigarette. She knew that if her parents smelled the smoke they would kill her, but she didn't care. She took a drag and glared at the red prom dress her mother had bought her. Oh well, she thought, no one will notice if I'm not there. James sat alone on the park bench. It was Tuesday, mid morning, and he had no where better to be. He stared at the group of women jogging with their headphones, and wondered where they found the motivation to run on a dreary October day. Ann breathed deeply as she felt the warm bath water surround her. She looked a...
