Too often on our journey through life we are judged by the perception of us by others and not by truth. In turn we are are influenced by that perception, either in rebellion or submission. Each person is unique and has a special place in the world. Each has disabilities, some obvious, most hidden. When life is not as we would like, we create another that is what we believe to be better, more interesting, controllable, safe, or void of things that we cannot accept or change. Some choose to believe this new world to be real and live accordingly. Some retreat to this world to escape the difficult times in their lives. Then there are those who choose to share their life, real and imagined, their dreams, and the things that are on their minds or in their hearts. These are the writers who amuse, challenge, educate, entertain and take us to places we didn't know existed.
