On a summer's day towards dusk, The rizing pitch of wheel and spoke, The cool breeze rushing past! The stucotto, emerald sight, Of trees and bushes as they slip by. Shoved back in seat by acceleration, As feet quicken their pace on the pedals. Perchance lean steeply in a turn, Like a pilot in a plane, Road bike responding swiftly, Cutting edge your senses feel. Great joy is had tonight, Moving swiftly on two wheels, Endorphin rush as well, As speed to your feelings appeal!
