DepressionImagine, if you will, a three-year-old girl sitting on her front porch, unable to play with her little friends, despite their consistent coaxing and prodding to join them in their play and laughter. The little girl could not get up off that porch and join her little friends no matter how much she wanted to, because ... More..
Garfield Doesn't Have Much Over My Cat, OzzieMy cat, Ozzie, could easily take over Garfield's spot in the comics page. He has all of Garfield's personality traits, and then some. He is popular, selfish, intelligent, arrogant, comical, and above all, lovable.Every day, weather permitting, I take my kitties outdoors for a short... More..

Meet My Mentally Challenged KittyMeet my mentally challenged kitty, Maggie May. It is ironic that I am a special education teacher, and I have a mentally challenged cat. If there were a way to give Maggie May a diagnostic test, I am quite sure the results would reveal that she is cognitively impaired. Her IQ would probably be... More..
The Autumn of My YearsI am in my early 50's, and I guess recently had experienced what I had heard of as a midlife crisis. All I could think about was my youth. I even went through a period of about two weeks when I would cry whenever I was alone, longing for my youth. I hated being this age and dreaded getting older. They say... More..
