I'm originally from Scotland although at the moment I live in England, in the East Midlands. I have a grown up daughter and two beautiful grandchildren who all live nearby so I'm lucky enough to see them a lot.
I love to write although not creative writing, that's just not my forte I'm afraid. I hugely admire people that can do it well and I'm an avid reader when I get the time, which nowadays is not as often as I would like.
I work as an Employment and Training Advisor in a local college. My goal is to earn a living from writing and finally escape the world of office poltics!

was to be a hairdresser. I cut my dolls hair, my little sisters hair - I was lethal with scissors. I never did become a hairdresser but I've retained an obsession with my own hair at least.

I write because I enjoy it. It educates me, challenges me, relaxes me and generally keeps me out of trouble!

I don't watch television. I listen to music all the time and what I'm listening to varies according to my mood. At the moment it's Amy Winehouse, last week it was AC/DC.

was working in a grocers shop. I hated it but then I was only 16 and just hated the idea of having to work at all.

I'm a sleepyhead in the morning so I've had to perfect a five minute makeup routine and, as I've been wearing makeup for more than thirty years now, I've had lot's of practice. The following routine should take no more than five minutes. I know this as I follow it six mornings a week. Start with a clean, moisturised face.
