Writing for the internet, became a serious challenge for me when I started a Love 2000 AD poetry project, depicting love, with its multiplicity, diversity and complexity of expression. I began this poetry collection in 1997, after I returned to Thunder Bay, Ontario (Canada), where I was born and raised. In 1998, I registered a company called Amazon Art Reproductions for the publication of my poetry with artwork and photography.
My years of working as a registered nurse in various fields, have been a wonderful experience. Always seeking to expand my skills, training as a counselor at Mohawk College (1980-1982), in Hamilton (Ontario), gave me a lot of insight with respect to understanding how people think and feel.
Doing my Bachelor of Arts (Honors), in Religious Studies, at McMaster University (1982-1990), in Hamilton (Ontario), opened new horizons of thought for me because I learned how write on an inspirational level, rather than purely from an academic research perspective.
Being able to complete my Master of Arts degree in Philosophy, at Brock University (1990-1997), in St. Catharines, (Ontario), helped me to look at life differently and encouraged me to expand my writing further. It is still my goal to obtain a PHD.
In the year 2000, I learned web design basics and began creating my own web pages in order to publish poetry, articles and stories on the internet. I have had poetry published by the International Society of Poets, The National Library of Poets, Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum Inc. and the Poetry Institute of Canada. In 1995, I attended the International Society of Poets Conference in Washington, DC and was totally amazed to see what was happening in the world of poetry. Some of my poetry has been published on the website www.poetry.com as well.
This past year, I set up a blog and then began writing on Helium shortly after that. I am currently writing in a number of different genres but always prefer to write on inspiration, even when it involves research. I am always open to a new challenge and feel that writers as a whole are astounding people.

My passion is ...
writing love poetry, with its multiplicity, diversity and complexity of expression.
I know too much about ...
what there is that I could do in life and I always want to do it all, now.
My parents always told me ...
that I could do anything I set my mind on doing, if I could figure out how to do it.
My childhood ambition ...
was to explore the world and the vast mysteries that can be found it.
My favorite memory ...
is of my early childhood years, when we lived on my grandfather's farm.
Why I write ...
is simply because I know that in some way, for some unknown reason, I am inspired to write.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
is very diverse, but I love music, artwork, movies and photography.
My first job ...
baby sitting children in our neighborhood.
My best moment ...
was when I saw a double rainbow in Alberta, in 1984. I realized the God-given potential that lies dormant within each one of us, including me.
My inspiration ...
comes from the world around me and from deep within.
