I am a passionate mother of three beautiful and intelligent children who is also blessed with a wonderful husband. I am currently on a journey of self discovery (although I must admit that I'm not always so crazy about what I am finding).

I believe strongly in personal growth and development and that the minute you feel as though you have nothing left to learn, either from books or from another person, then you might as well call it a day.

Inspiration is my greatest inspiration. I love to be uplifted and I strive to uplift those around me. I like to make people think outside of the box every now and then, and I think that the true success of a writer should be measured by the number of lives that they touch along the way.

I like to write from personal experience because I feel that my readers will be able to relate to me on a more personal level. I want them to feel my emotions and I want them to feel as though I am reaching out my hand for them to take as I walk the road of life.

My philosophy? I'm not sure that I have one. Although during one of my moments of inspiration, I was blessed with a bit of insight and this is what I call a Mary Bubbins original. "Don't wish on a star, create it." I am a firm believer in making your life happen and that is what I am doing right here, right now, on Helium. I am pursuing my dream of becoming a writer and I know that with all of the support I have received thus far from all my fellow writers, I will achieve my dream! Thank you to all!

Epilepsy is perhaps one of the most misunderstood disabilities there are in today's society. Millions of Americans suffer from it, yet they are humiliated to admit that they are inflicted by it. This humiliation is due to the ignorance that surrounds them every day, whether it be from their co-workers or those they come into contact with in the grocery store.
