About me

Hello to all you talented Helium writers. Thanks for taking time to read about me and my articles. I was born in Kenya, but have lived in the UK for a long time now (let's not go into numbers please!).
I am married with 3 children who are all in their 20s. Looking after my children has been number one priority for me and it has proved to be interesting, frustrating at times but full of fun with never a dull moment! Seeing them grow into intelligent, loving and level headed women reminds me it was time well spent.
I have always enjoyed writing and these days I find time to write an article, something I wouldn't have been able to do a few years back. Writing short stories and poetry appeals to my creative side, but I have tried my hand at writing articles on all sorts of different subjects. I have always worked in a business and accounts background and have written some articles on related subjects. I couldn't resist topics on life and my experiences of it and it is wonderful to hear from other writers who have undergone similar experiences or who have liked what I have written. Religion, spirituality and Health are other areas that I want to explore a lot more to enhance these areas in my life.
I feel I have found a place where I can be part of a community of writers and share in their experiences and vice versa.
Contests at Helium have been deflating most of the time but once or twice Helium has lived up to it's name and I have felt quite high when I won something.
It is a wonderful experience where I am learning all the time...lets see where this journey takes me!
