I am a middle school teacher living in New England with my wife and children. Originally from less hearty climes, I have willingly embraced the snow and bugs in order to enjoy hiking, canoeing, and a dizzying array of options for lake swimming. My wife rolls her eyes every time I struggle to stoke the wood stove or coax our car up our snow-clogged driveway, but I'm tough...I can take it.
