Karil is a 30 year old Customer Services Representative living in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Which is a city in it's own right, but also considered a suburb of Wellington, which is the capital of New Zealand.

Karil enjoys writing poetry and short fiction and one day hopes to write a fantasy fiction novel. She has been published on other sites and in several poem compendiums issued for general sale in the United States of America and the United Kingdom mainly.

Karil comes from a family of four, having only one younger sister. She has a niece which she absolutely adores.

You're only young once. I don't know why this day seemed anymore special than yesterday or Tuesday last week, but something in the air was different. Five am and the whole house was silent, except for the comfortable drone of dad's snoring with an occasional pause as he shifted in blissful unawares of what was going on in the world outside number six Pukeko Road.
