I'm a thirty-something career mom of a one year old with a loving husband who supports my neurotic tendencies. Personality surveys put me in the category of "romantic" or "expressive" but all signs point to a person that lives with passion and compassion.
I enjoy reading and writing and always have. With the Internet I could probably spend the rest of my life glued to the screen, just reading and writing. However it is impractical for me to do so unless I can make income while doing it.
Alas I happened upon this website and I am anxious to put my writing and rating skills to the test.
When not reading or writing I am an operations manager for a wholesale mortgage company. (Yet another reason it would be prudent for me to explore alternate means of income) I love managing people as I feel that managers should lead by example. It gives me great sense of responsibility and ultimately, pride to know that my team members look to me for guidance and support.
Someday I would love to write children's books, a passion I believe I inherited from my mother. I hope to instill the same passion for reading in my daughter as I have been blessed with. Reading, language, and communication skills are a gift and should be utilized to their full capacity.
