About me - Patricia Dexheimer

About me

Born on a farm near Columbia, Missouri, I grew up with a sense of freedom that is difficult to duplicate in todays complicated world.

After high school, I attended Kirksville State Teachers College, and the University of Missouri. Married, with two children, I later divorced and moved to Palma de Mallorca, Spain where I began my writing career with "The Power Brokers." After my daughter graduated from high school, we returned to the states, and settled in La Jolla, California where I opened the first day spa in Southern California. During this period, I wrote "Prince of Darkness." Ten years later, I sold my business and moved to Isla de Margarita, Venezuela and began research for a book titled, "Daughters of the Moon." When my son died in 1999, I returned to the US to live near my daughter in Florida.

Blessed with the love of three grandchildren,I continue to write books as well as articles.

Today over fifty-percent of teenagers drink alcohol, and a rising number are taking or selling their parent's prescription drugs. The question is why. The answer is simple.
