The most effective feedback starts with a person who is willing to actually accept realistic and honest feedback.

Too often people only want "the good news". This has become the age of entitlement and all things negative are to be avoided at all costs. Feedback that is less than glowing praise has become almost taboo in North American culture as we become less and less able to grow and learn from mistakes we're unwilling to admit we've made.
