As you guessed it, my name is Lisa and I am a homemaker. I have two sons, ages 17 and 14. I live in the northeast of the United States so I have the pleasure of enjoying all 4 seasons each year. I've always wanted to write and have for my own pleasure so I'm hoping Helium will help me tap further into it. Pun intended! LoL

my children, giving them wings so one day they can soar!

nothing! Not a day goes by that I don't learn something new.

make sure when you lay your head down at night you are at peace with all that you did that day.

to grow up all too quickly.

My favorite memory ...

the day my father scooped up my newborn son and held him on his chest, he had never held one of his grand children only a few hours old.

Why I write ...

it helps me to clear my head and relax. Should something I have learned or experienced help another I am fortunate.

Many moons ago, when I was 14 years old I had a home economics class in school. At that time it was mandatory that girls take home economics and boys took shop class. We had our lessons in sewing and cooking every day and we had a projected meal and outfit we had to make from start to finish for a grade.
