I am a forty-eight year old who has been a Christian for over thirty eight years. I was born and raised in Normal, Illinois. I was married for eighteen years and then became divorced. I have been married the second time for a little over four years. I have no children. I have a bachelor's degree from an accredited Baptist college and spent almost three years in the ministry. After feeling led of God to leave the ministry I worked for almost 12 years in manufacturing. During that time I spent a little over a year as a volunteer chaplain with the United Auto Workers. Since being laid off from my manufacturing job, I have moved to Oregon and become employed with the Oregon Department of Corrections. I attend church at a non-denominational church each Sunday and lead a small group Bible study in my home. I enjoy writing, in particular I have written over two hundred poems. Some of my poems have been published in national anthologies. As of December 2009 I am a published poet with my first book of poems The Music of My Life published through blurb.com, and I am working on a daily devotional.

Our lips are sealed with the truth we share. We must guard it with the utmost care. We dare not ever divulge to others, The truth that we share as brothers. We must protect the truth til we die. Revealing it would make others cry. So we'll keep the secret between us two, And never let the others be blue.
