: About Me

I was born and bred and continue to live in a small market town called Thetford, located in a beautiful part of East Anglia, England.

I am happily married to someone we English call 'a diamond' and unlike many of our friends have survived that dieing institution for over 25 years ~ and am really looking forward to the next. We have two amazing children, a son and daughter.

To date I must say I have enjoyed my life, I have grown up in a loving and caring family. I have also been lucky enough to travel fairly extensively and have worked with and met some wonderful people.

I am a director of an independent Travel Agents and also help run a small retail clothing shop with my family.

I am looking forward to being part of the Helium community, as writing is a fantastic way of truly expressing yourself ~ so here's to a great new adventure.

The strongest bond that has to be Is the one that ties my mum and me Her timeless beauty, her selfless will Protects the love so special still A confidante, a teacher more A perfect mother, without a flaw My words unspoken, she heard them all She soothed my fears, she softened a fall But tears were few, no stormy days Her laughter cleared those clouds away My childhood was a her gift to me A magical time, precious memory She steered me well from a boy to man I hope she's proud of who I am My special mum, forever true Can I just say I Love you.
