Marriage is specified in the Bible as the union of one man and one woman. "For this reason, a man will leave his father and his mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Gen 2:24." Marriage is a union ordained by, and sworn before, God, and God provides this union for His men and women. If the parties involved in the union are of the same sex then it is not, by definition, a marriage.
