Hi,

I live in the UAE at the moment, so spend a lot of the summer indoors avoiding the extreme temperature, which gives me lots of time to get writing.

Have just discovered Helium so will get adding some more articles as and when the inspiration takes hold.

For my day job I'm an EFL/ESL/ESOL (whatever acronym you like best!) teacher and have been for about 6 years now. The long term plan is to make a living from the thing I love best - writing and working from home (aka the couch).

Vino Tinto Time

The breeze wafts through
The sun half shines
It's certainly siesta time.

The dogs are hushed
The cars are few
While locals catch a "z" or two.

Clouds drift and swell
Fat with raindrops
But only weep some lazy plops.

Inside the bar
The kitchen's closed
The chef feels ready for a doze.

That's where I sit
Enjoying wine
For some, it's vino tinto time.

I kiss the breeze
Its lazy chill
The wine tastes good when being still.
