Hello. My name is Katie, and I am a late twenties writer living in Grand Rapids, MI. I live with John, my husband, and Ted and Alice, our tiger-striped lap cats, in a small 1885 house near the zoo. By day I am a health writer.

My main areas of interest include: Irish anything, people in 18th century clothing, cooking, human sexuality, operatic opulence, health, history (Western Europe 350-1700), death culture, the color red and writing about any combination of these.

I came across Helium during an on line job search. I have to say that joining was the most productive thing I managed to do that afternoon...
