About me - Joe Blaikie

About me

I've been writing since I was sixteen years old (I'm 36 now). J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis have been major influences on me. Though writing is not my profession, I have managed to write three novels. The first is "The Demonslayer Chronicles I: A Shadow on the Throne". It is a fantasy novel about a beleaguered kingdom that is visited by two heroic warriors. One warrior is truly noble and the other is a demon disguised as a man. Events cloud the identities of the two men and make it difficult for the king to determine which one he should trust and which one he should fear. My second novel is "The Demonslayer Chronicles II: The Demon Hunters". As the title indicates, it is the sequel to the first book. My third novel is "The Dragon and the Lamb". It is a fictional drama that uses the End Times prophecies of The Bible as its backdrop. It is more a novel about the spiritual evolution of a group of diverse characters and the relationships they form than it is a Bible prophecy story.

Besides writing, my interests include reading, weightlifting, watching sports, going to the movies and playing with my Chocolate Lab Nestle.
