Four years ago my husband and I retired, sold everything we owned in Massachusetts, moved to Florida so he could work in Disney World for a few months a year and bought an RV so I could see the USA - a childhood goal sparked by Dinah Shore and "Route 66." We traveled with a circus, toured the perimeter of the US, spent quality time in upstate NY and realized that despite my saying it would never happen, we'd made Florida home.
When we began our travels I posted my journal and photos for friends to read and many encouraged me to publish my insights. Thank you Helium for giving me the forum to do so. Right now, we're not traveling far but we're on quite a journey: our oldest daughter was married in September, her sister will marry in April, and we're becoming active in our new hometown so look for essays/poems/stories about journeys of the heart for the next little while.
