My Angel

Dear Lord, thou art the finest protector,
here my child's breath upon her pillow,
as she sleeps,
softly, softly.
Feel her intelligence
and see her beauty.
I ask thee,
cover her Lord, with thine tender light,
fill her Lord, with thine divine peace.
Thou wouldst not take her too soon?
Promise me Lord,
thou wouldst not, take her too soon.
Please help me keep her safe
guide and love her,
shield and nurture her,
and she will become a blessing
to me and you.
