It is my belief that all governments, certainly in the developed world, have a duty and responsibility to fund cancer research. It is an obligation for our elected leaders to make funds and facilities available to find cures for one of the biggest killers of human beings. However, it is the "how" to allocate such funds that causes the greatest concern. We are all only too aware of the wasteful bottomless pits in research and development.
