I am an original - late blooming baby boomer. My life did not truly begin for me until I was in my late-forties and a full-time college student. My freshman English teacher was the first person to tell me that I had a gift for writing and he encouraged me to pursue it - through my education and beyond. I took his advice.
I earned my living quite well for a few years as a freelance writer; but time spent in pursuing marketing "chores" depleted my creative energies. Now I have a secure day-job and look forward to my evenings and week-ends when I can tap into my creative writing juices.
I am a native Californian although my college years were spent in North Carolina. It was there that I developed an appreciation for rooted lives, but I do believe our California transiency provides a fresher perspective for writing.

The natural look. An image of being clean, fresh, healthy, and carefree. But there's a big difference between the image of a natural look and the reality, especially as we age. Wrinkles tend to come on gradually and we usually tolerate their appearance although we do begin to apply age-defying moisturizers.
