I am a medical transcriptionist and work-at-home mom. These two jobs work very well together I would say. I began doing medical transcription from a hospital over five years ago. I quickly decided it was the career for me as I would be able to later work from my home. You see, I was at that time a single newly divorced mom to a 3-year-old. It was very hard for me to think that I would be all alone in my job of parenting. That is of course not counting the weekend visits to dad. I worked very hard to get where I am today.
