My name is Bob Kaplan a.k.a. The King a.k.a The Dark Pen a.k.a. many other things. I am a professional published author from Philadelphia. I am currently double major in Film and English at Temple University. I am currently working on several books. One, a novella. Two, a collection of poetry. Three, a collection of essays. I am also co-writer and producer of an independent film in Philadelphia called "Gunther's Bad Day" directed by Froy San Pedro.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I am reading the Nightside series by Simon R. Green. I am reading the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay. I read Kurt Vonnegut as well. I am watching several TV shows including: Dexter, Scrubs, Flash Gordon, My Boys, Burn Notice, Reaper, etc. I listen to mainly classic rock and love bands like: AC/DC, The Ramones, Stabbing Westward, Journey, Eddie Money, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springstein, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, etc.

Men in their 20's, much like children, love any toy that is popular, exciting, impressive, and has many uses. A popular gift for a young man would be either a Sony PSP or a Nintendo DS. Any hand held video game system is a definite win. A PSP has much more abilities, but is a bit more expensive. A Nintendo DS is a capable system, and is very entertaining with a great selection of games. It is an extremely good idea to buy several games along with the video game system.
