About me - Kathleen Couch

aboutme

I have been happily married since I was 19. I have had varied interests and activities over the years. I have worked in retail sales, as a cake decorator, a corporate teacher in cake decorating, worked with teenagers for a combined 20 years, and worked with preschoolers for 7 years.

I am a first time blogger, invest in real estate, love to garden, and sometimes do hands on remodeling or repair. I enjoy going with the teens in my church to do mission building projects. At times you will find me looking all "girlie, girlie". Other times you may find me with paint all over me, muddy, wet, or anything but "girlie" looking. It depends if I was painting, landscaping, using a crow bar, or hammer, or putting in a toilet. It's inevitable when I am doing my real estate projects, or doing mission work, that I become a real mess.

My grandchildren are my main priority now. I have five of them. The boys are aged 5,3,2,1 (my daughter's), and the newest arrival is a girl who is 9 months at this time (my son's). I am a born again Christian, and have been focusing on serving through missions. Purple Leaf is a pen name I use at times. Click on the Article tab above to see my articles.
