Public outcry to this, and anything, can only foster change if the "outcry" translates into one of two things; lost revenue or lost votes. Period. Public outcry makes us feel good, and gives warm fuzzies, but until a company or individual is hit in the pocketbook, they don't much care. Sometimes the outcry even HELPS bolster them, gives them an audience- no matter how scathing, and attracts attention.
