: About Me

Helium is the perfect forum for writing poems and informative articles. I need to be challenged in my writing and the Helium community does that through their network of other writers.

I don't always have a lot of time to devote to Helium but whenever I can devote even an hour a day I find it relaxing and creatively stimulating.

I live in Ottawa, On. I have a catering business that was a result of my love of food. I develop recipes and have added a couple of my favorites to Helium.

Ottawa is surrounded by the Gatineau Park so there is a lot of green space and lakes easily accessible to us. I am concerned about the environment and by how we can develop ways to keep our air and water healthy.

I am also interested in the nutritional aspects of food and try to eat organically and locally whenever possible. My clients receive the same care in their food as my family does.

In the summer of 2008 I published an article in Healthwise Ottawa, a local health magazine, about unique products that would be beneficial to families during the hot hazy days of summer.

In addition I was published in the recent 2008 winter edition of Healthwise Ottawa. I wrote an article about comfort foods complete with healthy and delicious recipes.

I am an adventurous person who sees each new day as an exploration.

I enjoy meeting new people, taking undiscovered roads and nurturing the relationships with all the important people in my life.

Vibrant landscapes fade subtly as summer transforms into fall. Green leaves spin into gold on bushes and trees as cooler weather foreshadows the beginning of a new season.
