The basics about 'me' are quite straightforward: I am a bespectacled misanthropist, who also happens to be a closet (well, not so much anymore) romantic.
There isn't much in this world that I am not interested in, but much that I am woefully ignorant of (wines, native South American languages, Nollywood and thriller novels, to name but a few). I suppose I am one of those people who sees their slightly-less-than-a-century-on-average lifespan as little more than an excuse to remedy this.
More usefully for one to know, I am currently a Physics with Theoretical Physics student at Manchester University. I have a penchant for dixieland jazz, modern comics, ancient languages and the heady world of the neo-burlesque. I occasionally become more than a little bit political, but such forays tend to end in failure.
AD 2700 The rest of the City beyond my apartment is a rising stack of glass helixes and pregnant ellipsoids, twisting up to the crimson filament above. It has grown, this City, in just that way, slowly developing layers of hyperglass and ultraplastics, straining from it's old stone foundations throughout the centuries.
