After reading what I first wrote to "introduce myself," I decided it was all a bunch of flap that hardly anyone would take the time to read! But you never know.
However, as it is my professional representation here are the basics: I have a B.A. in Education//Spec Ed, and have started a M.A. in the Arts, specializing Writing/Communication. I sometimes tutor in American Sign Language, in which I am fairly fluent.
For the past five years, I've discovered I want to write. I've published online and in-print, creative non-fiction or journalistic articles & essays. My goal now is to be a career novelist & to mentor other writers in the process.
I write fantasy, contemporary and historical novels with strong romantic and spiritual themes - and love what I do, at last!
My passion is ...
God...my husband...writing & language...the Arts....nature...health...people
I know too much about ...
people I love dying, but it's taught me compassion.
My parents always told me ...
be honest, work hard, and show respect!
My childhood ambition ...
was to be a missionary-doctor.
My favorite memory ...
hiking a mountain trail with wildflowers all around.
Why I write ...
to feel alive and to process the world, myself, etc.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Fionovar Tapestry, my dogs sleep, youtube songs from Easy Virtue
My first job ...
filing sheet music (boring!)
My best moment ...
is when I choose not to retaliate even when it's justified.
My inspiration ...
comes from somewhere intangible, hopefully Divine sometimes
