David Chase has been freelancing since 1987. With a B.S. in psychology from Eastern Michigan University, he has written for "Psychology Today" and several other print publications.

My passion is ...

writing to the best of my ability.

nothing, because in my opinion, you can never know too much!

My parents always told me ...

"You need to put that book down and go to sleep!"

My childhood ambition ...

was to be a better writer than S.E. Hinton.

My favorite memory ...

is stepping off a plane on American soil after months in "the sandbox."

Why I write ...

I write because I have to - if I don't, I would bore people to tears by talking incessantly.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I read everything that I can get my hands on!

My first job ...

was as a "bus girl" at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant when I was thirteen.

My best moment ...

is any moment spent with my precious (and precocious) daughter, Sadie.

My inspiration ...
