I am an Air Force veteran who served as an Aircraft Mechanic, where injuries forced me to be medically discharged after 8 years of service. The injuries have made everyday painful and have lowered my quality of life for the past 5 years. The medication given to me during my last 2 years in the military and for the following year after leaving the military did relieve most of the pain but left me with Nausea, unable to eat, and a strong "Hang-over" felling when it wore off. During my time in Europe after leaving the military I was given advise from Doctor to go to Amsterdam and try Marijuana for the pain. The trip that followed left me pain free and more Mobile than I have been since before I sustained my injuries for the 4 day trip. After coming back to the State of New York, I was not able to take marijuana for my pain so I had to go back on to the Narcotics the VA Hospital was able to perscribe to me. I have seen and felt the relief that medical Marijuana can provide and with only one major side effect in New York, Arrest and criminal record.
