I am a writer/editor with credits in dozens of publications, including The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Oklahoman and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. My column appears weekly in several newspapers in the United States and Canada. The column - called Airing My Dirty Laundry - tickles the funny bone with tales of troublesome teens, bizarre Blackberry behavior, pillaging pigs and football foolishness and that's just for starters.

My writing has won awards from Parenting Publications of America, America's Funniest Humor Press, American Business Media, Oklahoma Press Association and the Florida Freelance Writers Association. Dude, Where's My Son? My son recently turned 13, and the last traces of that sweet little boy who thought I hung the moon seem to have vanished. In his place is a strange, slouching creature with a pencil-thin mustache and adolescent angst oozing from every pore. This extraterrestrial I once called flesh and blood, whose mood swings dwarf the Grand Canyon, seems intent on bungee jumping from that rickety bridge connecting a child with adulthood.
