I am a 31 year old assistant marketing director at the county hospital. I have no idea how in the world I ended up working in a hospital, but it has its ups and downs.
I have been known to write extensive short stories about my life, husband and kids that my friends, or email contacts rave about. Everyone says i should publish our adventures, so hence my new hangout....Helium.com
I am married for the second time and my husband for the third. We have 2 boys that are 9 and 11 years old. He had one and I had one and together we have none..yet, and most think I'm nuts for considering starting all over again.
I love to work in my yard, decorate my house, cook, sail, and spend time with my big ole southern extended family which all lives within walking distance. I paint, draw, sew, bleach my hair, eat right, throw parties and showers, and gossip.
I graduated from college 10 years later than my high school class. My college experience was slightly delayed when I was encouraged by the whole damn town to peruse a singing career in Nashville. Nashville is big. I was one of a million trying to break into the music business. The music business was much more enjoyable when I was the business. It is easy to be a big fish in a small pond. It's easier to go to the grocery store and look people in the eye because you've known them all your life, their parents, and their grandparents and of course ALL of their personal business, and them mine.
No I am not a direct descendant of William Faulkner, but my husband is. I am however a direct descendant of Della MacLeod, my great aunt matter of fact. She wrote a book nearly a hundred years ago called The Swan and the Mule,-she is my father's side of the family. On my wonderful mother's side, Mark Twain is one of our cousins...but I'm not sure how...

I am absolutely certain that women's liberation of the 1960's has nearly ruined the American family of today. Women are still expected to be the mother/teacher of children, not to mention carry their young for 9 months. This in itself is the reason that the average family size is 1.2 children per house hold. All while we work, primarily for the man. Ha! Let's come on home, cook supper, do homework, clean the house, get the kids ready for the next day.....after we've worked 8am till 5pm to provide for our family, and if you have 1 to 2 children you are at least providing half of the family'...
