Hello.

My name is Tom Johnson, and I am 59 years old. I was born and raised in Hammond, Indiana, and have lived in western Kentucky since 1973.

I have been married to the same gal for 32 years, and we have two grown children and two granddaughters.

I enjoy writing, but I have never had anything published. I write according to what is in my heart. I must have strong feelings for something in order to write about it.

One of my favorite subjects is my memories of the three summers that I spent at my grandmother's house in Kentucky, the summers when I was eight, nine, and ten years old. That was back in 1957, 1958, and 1959.

I want to go back and relive a day of my childhood in Hammond, Indiana. It wouldn't have to be a day when anything special happened, just a typical day would be fine. Let it be a day when I was eleven or twelve years old, a day in 1960 or 1961.

How good it would be to once again cut through the alley behind my house, as I make my way home from Wallace Elementary School, and then walk up the narrow sidewalk between our garage and the Tonkoviches' fence.
