: About Me

I am a 50 year old mother of two beautiful young ladies, ages 21 and 22. I live in Arizona (for now) and work full time. Some of my interests include: movies, music, online games, and above all else, writing and dancing - they seem to constantly battle for first place.

Writing has been a natural part of who I am for as long as I can remember, although I've never really done much with it until recently. I am currently brushing up on my art through this site as well as working on some short stories, one of which I have on a game site and is my first "published" work - albeit not professional, by any means.

I have a sly sense of humor and can be taken the wrong way by those with thinner skin. I tend to be overly quick to speak my mind and have been accused of being honest to a fault.

My goal is to continue with my writing and someday either get something published or become an editor; preferably both. I do love correcting spelling and grammatical errors. I find them everywhere I go - I seem to be a sort of word bloodhound.

To explore as many things as possible, to conquer the world. But mostly just to have friends.

Why I write ...

I love the written word. I enjoy expressing myself with words, sharing stories, and building my vocabulary.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I must admit that I don't read nearly as much as I should. And I tend to mostly read Dean Koontz when I do anymore, however - I have many favorites, a list too long for this short bio spot. My music tastes do not fit my age and I don't watch TV. Just buy Nip/Tuck each season and sit through a marathon with my daughters :)

My first job ...

Hmm, nothing exciting. It was at Jack in the Box. Yes, they really have been around forever!

My best moment ...

Hearing the excited "Mommy!" from my daughters when I picked them up from daycare oh so many ages ago...

My inspiration ...

Hope. Hope that my life will be long and happy. Hope that I will achieve my goals and accomplish something. Hope that I will touch at least one life before I leave.
