My family has had and array of rescued pets over the years. But the most memorable was USS Yellowstone, he was a very large, very fast, rescued racing Greyhound. He found us at a meet and greet at a Petsmart store in Knoxville, TN. He was very aloof until my then 3 year old daughter got her hands on him. It was love at first sight.

Needless to say, he adopted us. We brought him home, he began a 5 year love affair with our family. He loved all of us, our cats, our other dog. He had the sweetest disposition of any animal I have ever seen. Stoney Baloney as my daughter called him, followed...
