My second child (of Four)is now a mother herself of 2 wonderful children, ages 10 and 5. She calls me frequently to complain about normal childhood behaviors that have "embarrassed" and "humiliated" her while their family was out in public. These behaviors are generally of the "sibling rivalry" and "ensuing squabbles" type. As a Parenting Class Instructor for over 10 years for the local Department of Children and Family Services in our area; I offer my usual advice as to how to best handle the situations as they arise.
